Welcome to Quainton Church of England Combined School. I hope this welcome will give you an introduction to the school and stimulate your interest to investigate further. We only give you a brief glimpse of what makes Quainton special and therefore we encourage you to come and visit the school in action.
At the heart of every decision and action we make are the children. Every single child is seen as an individual who is valued and nurtured to achieve the best academically and socially. The Christian ethos underpins all we do, and as a village school we promote the spirit of a family.
The school family includes the children, staff, parents and community. The school has spent the last year reviewing its curriculum to ensure it fully complies with the statutory obligations whilst also establishing a happy, caring and interesting environment in which children can thrive. We believe that children should enjoy their learning and school in general in order to make good progress. We are delighted that our excellent SATs test results last year are evidence of the tremendous effort we have made to develop this outcome.
I came to the school last September for 4 weeks, as an interim headteacher,to cover for the headteacher who had become ill. I was quickly and warmly absorbed into the fabric of the school family and community. I found delightful, enthusiastic children, very hardworking and dedicated teachers, welcoming and supportive parents and a helpful community around us. Those 4 weeks turned into a year because this school captured my heart. I can only hope that you will feel the same and want your child to experience this warmth whilst learning and achieving their full potential.
We look forward to meeting you and showing you more about Quainton.
