Secondary School Admissions for 2024

Despite your children still having over a year before they leave Quainton and move on to secondary school, we need to start thinking about the secondary school admissions process for 2024.

All parents will need to apply for a place at the secondary school of their choice using the Buckinghamshire County admissions website: www.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/admissions . Please note applications cannot be made until September 11^th 2023 and the last day to make application is 31^st October 2023.

All Year 5 children on roll at Quainton will be automatically registered for the Secondary Transfer Test (11 plus) – for entry into a Buckinghamshire grammar school. This we be administered in school on Thursday 14^th September 2023. If you do not wish your child to sit the test please inform the school before that date.

Tuesday 12 September 2023 Practice Test

Thursday 14 September 2023 Secondary Transfer Test

Friday 13 October 2023 Secondary Transfer Test results ‘published’

Tuesday 31 October 2023 –Deadline for online applications to be submitted: portal closes at 3pm

Friday 1 March 2024 National Offer Day
