You will be pleased to hear that the school was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ during our recent SIAMs inspection (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist schools). These inspections take place every five years. It was a very thorough process led by Gill Walley (who is also an Ofsted Inspector) involving interviews with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership team, the Governors, staff, children, parents and our incumbent, Phil Mears; scrutiny of school documents including the school website; observations of collective worship, led by Mrs Evans; lesson observations; scrutiny of children’s books and an in-depth analysis of our assessment data.
On behalf of the Governors and myself I would like to say a huge thank you to all who were involved in the process, both on the day and in the lead up to the inspection. Click here to read the report.
Sports News - Netball Finals
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our truly amazing netball team have won the Buckingham School Sports Partnership Area Finals and are now on their way to the County Finals on 10th July! This is an outstanding achievement and is the result of a fantastic group of children showcasing some great netball skills and coming together to play at their best when it mattered the most. The team played 7 games across the day at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, spectacularly winning all games: 2-1, 3-2, 3-0, 6-0, 6-0, 4-1 and 3-2. It was very inspiring to see each team member displaying such determination, passion and self-belief, and also upholding such trust in each other to be where they were needed on court each and every time. Whilst Miss Geering and myself were nearly collapsing on the sidelines due to sheer excitement and nerves as the matches progressed, the team managed to remain level-headed under pressure to win their way through. A massive congratulations to Imogen Broome, Joe Dunning, Archie Henderson, Isabella Longdin, Will Rose, Jenna Wallace and Hannah Williams. Thank you to all of you for making me so proud - Mrs Vickers.
