Year 5 Residential 2025

Monday 14th July:
Coach to depart at 10am from school. Please can children arrive for the start of the school day from 8:30am.
We have arrived at the Frontier Centre. 11:20. Sun shining, all happy!
Preparing for an afternoon of kayaking and Above and Beyond. Children very excited.
Good evening from th Frontier Centre! Been a very busy day. Children having a great time. After our afternon activities we had a delicious supper of Spag bol and macaroni cheese. This was followed by an evening stroll, time on the fitness trail and games of cricket, Dobble and football. Children are attempting to settle themselves for the evening with the plan for lights out at 10pm.
Tuesday 15th July:
7am - Children are up early but on the whole a good first night. We have breakfast at 8am then kayaking for one group and Above and Beyond obstacle course for the other. This afternoon it's time for the zip wire, followed by bouncy castle and then marshmallows on campfire to finish off the day. Fingers crossed the rain stays away.
11:45 am - Children are clearing out the tuck shop! Hopefully leaving some room for a jacket potato at lunchtime.
16:00 - The weather has been kind to us so far. Children have shown a lot of courage and resillience on the high ropes and zip wire - very proud of them!
19:00 - We had a great time on the bouncy castle after a full day of activities! Looking forwards to the campfire and some marshmallows!
8pm - unfortunately the heavens have opened and washed away our chances of a campfire! No worries though, a hastily arranged film night with marshmallows has saved the evening.
Wednesday 16th July:
7:45am A good night's sleep was had by all and the sun is shining on a beautiful morning at Frontier.. Children now busy packing bags and stripping their beds with varying degrees os success! Off to breakfast shortly followed by a mornong of abseiling.
14:00 - we are all safely on the coach. ETA 15:15. Please note children will need to alight the coach and wait at the top of the slope for collection.
