Dear Parents and Carers,
We have been informed that a Red Extreme Weather Alert has been issued for our area from 01:00am on Wednesday 24 June 2026 until 11:00pm on Thursday 25 June 2026. In line with other local schools, Quainton Church of England School will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday for the safety of pupils, staff, and families.
Arrangements for Tomorrow (Tuesday 23rd June)
School will be open as normal in the morning.
Parents who wish to collect their children early may do so from 1:00pm.
However, the school will remain open until 3:00pm for those who need standard pick‑up arrangements, including the school bus, which will run as usual.
Trips and Events
- The Year 3 and 4 trip to Flag Fen has been postponed and is now expected to take place on Friday 10 July, subject to final confirmation.
- The Transition Games on Thursday will no longer go ahead as both Quainton and Waddesdon Secondary School will be closed.
Learning During Closure
We will be providing online learning through Purple Mash for all pupils on Wednesday and Thursday. Further information and guidance will follow shortly.
At present we expect to be fully open on Friday.
